Lija Local Council - Important Dates

Feast of Sacred Heart – Special Church Decoration known only to Lija (Parish Church)
The replica of the Last Supper held from Wed prior to Good Friday till Good Friday (In the old Church in Saviour Street)
Jum Hal-Lija 6th July held by the Council. Usually a week’s programme of activities
5th August The eve of the Feast of the Trasfiguration. Firework Display and Band Marches and concert.
6th August. The Feast of the Trasfiguration . Procession and Firework display
Last Sunday of September. The feast of Saint Michael is celebrated in the Firework factory and chapel. Last firework display of the season.
As from December 2003 A citrus Festival organised by the Local Council. Date to be announced later.
Various exhibitions organised by the Local Council and held in the Old Mill Lija as announced from time to time.
